Connect Slack to Fibula

Set up Slack so Fibula can post structured messages to a channel when workflows finish.

What you'll be able to do

With Slack connected, Fibula can post a message to a channel of your choice every time a workflow completes. The message can include any extracted field, formatted however you want.

Common patterns: an "Invoice ready to approve" ping in #accounts-payable when a new supplier bill lands, a daily summary of how many documents were processed, an alert when reconciliation flags a mismatch.

Connect Slack

Slack uses OAuth. Open the Credentials page in Fibula and click New Credential. Pick Slack from the provider list, then click Save and Connect. Slack asks which workspace you want Fibula to post into, and which channels it should have access to. Approve and you're sent back to Fibula.

You only need to do this once per Slack workspace.

Use it in a workflow

Drop the Slack node onto any workflow canvas and connect it after the step whose output you want to broadcast. Pick the channel, type the message template, and reference extracted fields with the field picker. The AI agent can wire most of this from a plain English prompt.

What's next

For a full end-to-end example, see the Xero guide. The pattern is the same: extract, push to the system of record, ping the team.
